Remembering Lincoln School
While Lincoln School (the building) is no longer in existence today, several of our classmates got at least some of their elementary education there. In addition, many of us attended Bobbie Rivers dance classes in the school's gymnasium.
The building itself was built in 1921 to replace the old South Side school which had been destroyed by fire in 1919. Lincoln School was closed before the turn of the century and is today just an empty field.
